Payment
At the time of your booking your card will be charge for half the reservation total.. The remaining part of your reservation will be charged within 14 days of your reservation date. Your reservation is guaranteed until the day of arrival. After that day, it will no longer be guaranteed, and the room may be reassigned the following day. The Inn has the right to cancel your reservation if we do not receive the full payment before check-in. We will send you a cancellation confirmation via email immediately after canceling your booking.
Check-in
You can check-in any time after 4PM. We prefer you arrive by 9pm so as not to disturb the other guests. If no one is available, Room keys will wait for you in a lock box at the front door entrance. A code for the front door and lock box will also be sent or provided once you arrive. We ask that you leave your room keys in the locker safe when you leave each day. This way your key is always there and can never be lost. A $50 charge will be added to your bill for lost keys. During the check-in process, we will provide you with information which may be helpful during your stay such as the location of near-by shops, good places where you can eat, sights you may like to see, places to go at night, etc. Feel free to ask or text our innkeepers for anything that would make your stay more enjoyable and convenient.
Check-out
Please check out by 11AM. Later check-out times may be requested for additional fees, although we may not always be able to accommodate these requests. Please call to request as far in advance as possible.
We want you to have a great time when you are here. But if things get too crazy, we go by the old-school rule of ‘you break it, or you take it, you buy it!’ Property damages or missing items will be charged to your credit card at market value. Please note that a detailed inspection of the room is made after check-out time and we reserve the right to make charges for bar/food items removed, any damages or breakages found before the room is occupied again, and permanent items taken from the room (linens, blankets, towels, flashlights, glassware, baskets, pillows, coasters, etc...). Any Pre-existing damages or room issues must be reported to the front desk immediately after registration to avoid responsibility and potential charges.
Room Cleaning
Between 10AM and 2PM, room refreshes will be offered during stays but in limited capacity. The cleaning crew will do the following items each day:
1. Take out trash and take down dirty dishes
2. Replace any towels on the floor
3. Make up bed (will not change sheets unless specifically requested)
4. Restock mini-bar items
Smoking Policy
Breathe easy. The Carriage House Inn is a non-smoking property.
Any smoking in the rooms or strong lingering scents in rooms will result in a disappointed look, several “tisk tisks”, and a $300 room cleaning fee.
Pet Policy – Small breed dogs only!
Are we pet friendly? You bet! A maximum of two dogs are allowed per room. Our pet fee per is $25 per day. Please just make sure your furry friends do their business in the designated area and stay on a leash when outside the room. Pets can be left unattended for short periods, BUT if your pet is loudly protesting your absence, you will be called, and you may need to make other arrangements (pet sitter or boarding) so your furry friend is not upsetting other guests. Some pets love to go crazy at the mailman, amazon delivery drivers, and Uhm yeah our cleaning crew!! If you do not want our cleaning crew in the room with your little fur-baby or if your pet will not be friendly to our cleaning crew, please leave a “do not disturb sign” on the door. You can also leave your pet in a crate so the cleaners can tidy your room. Should your furry friend have a potty accident in the room we have a “Puppy Oops Station” in the hallway for your convenience. If you prefer to have cleaning crew do the cleaning for you, there will be a $50 cleaning fee charged to the credit card on file. Should your pet damage the property or furnishings, an incidental fee will be charged at the full replacement value (no mark-up) to your credit card on file.
Quiet Hours
Sing your heart out and have passionate conversation all day long, BUT from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. The whole property goes into hush mode for what we like to call quiet time (or sleep time). This includes your furry friends; a full moon is not an exception. If any guest receives multiple complaints during their stay about noise disturbances, you may be asked to leave the property.
Parking
There is one off-street parking spot available for each room. Additional cars can use on-street public parking. There are multiple parking spots in front of the Inn and across the street. For on the on-site parking, please pull up as much as you to allow everyone room to back out. Be careful when leaving the driveway. Watch for small pets or kids that might be on the sidewalk.
Kitchen
We are not offering kitchen privileges at this time.
Alcohol Policy
We have happy hour each evening from 4:30-6 with free hors d'oeuvres and wine or beer (limit 2 drinks per person by law). Additional wine, or beer may be purchased for on-premises consumption or can be purchased and taken off premises in their original unopened container. Guests must purchase beer and wine in the parlor area – then, if you like, you can head back to your room or anywhere on the property to enjoy. Cheers!
